Martine Baanvinger, who wrote and starred in the award-winning play 'Solitude', has discovered another great true story and is developing it into a one-woman play.

In 1957, Dutch woman Ans Westra arrived in New Zealand and began to take photos of her new homeland. Fascinated by Māori culture in particular, she created a uniquely historical and intimate documentation of Māori life, which lead to a successful career capturing the essence of all people in Aotearoa.

You’re invited to come and experience extracts from this new work, give feedback at the Q&A session and be part of the development of a new play.
